However, no arrest has been made yet as the cops are looking for Prashant Bishnoi.
Meanwhile, police forces have been deployed outside Singh's house.

Bajrang Dal activists brandish Swords, Trishul’s in Jammu - Hindu Terror

Brandishing sharp edged weapons, Bajrang Dal activists Tuesday took out a rally in Old City Jammu to strengthen movement to evict Rohingya Muslim refugees from Jammu region.

The rally started from Akhada near Tawi Bridge on the occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav, where over 200 youth joined Bajrang Dal, in presence of senior saffron leaders.
After the function was over, the Bajrang Dal activists took out a motorbike rally brandishing swards and trishuls.
The activists took rounds of the City before the rally culminated at the temple near Shalamar.
“Over 200 youth joined Bajrang Dal. We have pledged to raise voice against the illegal stay of Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshi nationals in Jammu as it is a security concern. We will drive them out from Jammu,” said one of the Bajrang Dal activists, while talking to Kashmir Post.
He said that they took out rally with a motive to spread awareness among residents of Jammu against the illegal stay of Rohingya Muslims.

“Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has failed to give rights to refugees who are struggling since 1947, 1965 and 1971 and now the government is talking about a policy for these illegally settled Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshi nationals,” said Bajrang Dal leader Rakesh Sharma.
“We are ready to meet any challenge in Jammu,” added another Bajrang Dal leader while speaking before the saffron group in Akhada near Tawi Bridge in a provocative way.
Amid sloganeering of ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ in a provocative speech, the Bajrang Dal leader said “Vo Jahan Be Hume Bulae Gay Hum Wahan Aaege, Vo Samaiy (time) Aur Jagha Be Uske Hoge. Hum Vahi Pohanch Jaye Ge. (If they call us at the place of their choice, we will reach there. We accept the challenge).”
Raking up another controversy, the Bajrang Dal leaders said that they have started door-to-door campaign in Jammu to ensure construction of Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya.
“Until Ram Temple is constructed in Ayodhya, we will continue our movement and spread awareness “among the people about the issue”. This time, the Ram Temple will be constructed,” Bajrang Dal leader said.

Cow Vigilantes are ‘Terrorising People’, Book Them Under anti-Terror Laws: Swami Agnivesh

🔻The way cow vigilantes are terrorising people, their act should be considered a crime committed by a terrorist, and booked under the sections of law similar to that are applicable on terrorists, he said addressing a gathering here.

Social activist Swami Agnivesh on Monday sought to equate cow vigilantes with terrorists and demanded they should be booked under the stringent anti-terror laws for allegedly terrorising people.
The way cow vigilantes are terrorising people, their act should be considered a crime committed by a terrorist, and booked under the sections of law similar to that are applicable on terrorists, he said addressing a gathering here.
Social organisations today organised a protest at Shahid Smarak here demanding the arrest of the cow vigilantes accused in the lynching of a 55-year-old Pehlu Khan in Alwar.
The President emeritus of World Council of Arya Samaj also said that the police should also book those who sell cow without enquiring about the buyers.
“There should be no politics in the name of cow,” he said.
He assured the family members of Pehlu Khan that he would support them for justice.
Kavita Srivastava of PUCL, Nishat Hussain of Muslim Women Welfare Society and member of Muslim Personal Law Board, Yasmin Farooqui also joined the protest. They also handed over a charter of demands, addressed to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, to the district administration.

Collective Violent Act of Terrorism in Gujarat

🔻On the 15th anniversary of the Godhra train burning, a recap of little-known anomalies in the case that changed the course of India’s history.

It was only after he had become chief minister of Gujarat in October 2001 that Narendra Modi contested an election for the first time in his life. Yet, Modi was apparently still such a political lightweight that his victory margin was half that of his Bharatiya Janata Party colleague who had vacated a “safe seat” for the by-election. Within a week of this unimpressive electoral debut, the Godhra tragedy occurred on February 27, 2002, setting off a chain of events that ultimately propelled him to the office of prime minister.
Following his “spot assessment of the situation” in which 59 people had been burnt alive in a train, a press release issued by the Gujarat government the same evening quoted Modi as saying that Godhra was a “preplanned inhuman collective violent act of terrorism”. The casualties were mostly kar sevaks returning in the Sabarmati Express from a controversial Ram temple campaign launched in Ayodhya by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in defiance of a Supreme Court order.
Modi’s immediate attribution of the train burning to a terrorist conspiracy was a politically fraught move. It turned the tables on Opposition MPs who had repeatedly disrupted Parliament the previous day demanding action against the Ayodhya campaign for exacerbating communal tension in the country. The resolve he apparently displayed in dealing with Godhra, the “original sin” of the 2002 Gujarat violence, has served to build Modi’s image as a strong and decisive leader.

Attacked for Honking at a Cow

Police said driver Ganesh Mandal fell unconscious when he was hit with a baton on his left eye by the owner of the cow in Saharsa district of Bihar.

Ganesh Mandal was punished for honking a cow
Amid rising incidents of cow vigilantism, a driver of a pick-van is suspected to have been blinded in his left eye after he was attacked for allegedly scaring a bovine by honking horn in north Bihar’s Saharsa district.
The incident took place at Maina village in Sonbarsa Raj police station area, 250 km north of state capital Patna, on Thursday evening.
Police said driver Ganesh Mandal, 30, was returning home at Bochahi village in neighbouring Bhagalpur district from Saharsa when he came across a cow roaming on national highway-107. “Mandal honked the horn so that the cow could get out of his way. Instead, the bovine panicked and ran away. This made the owner of the cow, who was nearby, furious and he rained baton blows on Mandal,” the police said. The cow owner had been identified as Ram Dular Yadav, they added.
Mandal fell unconscious when he was hit on his left eye, the police said, adding that he was rushed to the nearby primary health centre (PHC). When Mandal, after regaining consciousness, complained that he was unable to see out of his left eye, the doctor at the PHC referred him to the government hospital at Saharsa. The patient was bleeding profusely from his left eye and the possibility of his losing vision could not be ruled out, the PHC doctor said.
While Saharsa civil surgeon Ashok Kumar Singh was not in the town, deputy superintendent of the district hospital said the patient left for Bhagalpur for treatment at the better-equipped medical college hospital there.
Ram Dular Yadav, meanwhile, denied the charge that his cow was roaming on the NH. “I was, in fact, milking the cow when the driver scared it by honking the horn,” he told reporters.
Sonbarsa Raj police station SHO Mohammad Izhar Alam said an FIR had been registered on the basis of the complaint by Mnadal. Further investigation was on, he said.

Dalits Denied Water in Madhya Pradesh

मध्यप्रदेश में दलितों पर अत्याचार दिन प्रतिदिन बढ़ता ही जा रहा है, और चुपचाप बैठ कर देख रही है। दलित विरोधी है मध्यप्रदेस सरकार।

Terror of the Gau-Rakshak

Three weeks ago, a 40-second video of a man being thrashed on what looks like a highway went viral. He was wearing a white kurta-pyjama which was torn as a result of repeated blows by 15-odd youngsters. There was blood, there was screaming and there was very little information about what really was happening.

In the hours since he had died. Pehlu Khan, a resident of Haryana was transporting three cows from Jaipur to Haryana for his house. He'd originally wanted to buy a buffalo but couldn't afford it so settled for the cows. As he was crossing Rajasthan, his truck was stopped and dragged out and thrashed. Days later, he died in hospital. The gathered crowd, all students from nearby places who called them Gau Rakshaks were convinced he was transporting cows for slaughter, no documents were sought, but he was Muslim and very often that's enough in India.

US Human Rights Questions India

Bhopal: The US State department report on human right has referred to five cases in Madhya Pradesh, including the alleged encounter of eight suspected SIMI operatives and the famous Vyapam scam in the state.

The report on Human Rights Practices for 2016 for India also referred to cow vigilantism in MP’s Mandsaur, a custodial death and “highest untouchability practices” in the state.

SIMI encounter is mentioned on the page 3 of the report under the heading “Arbitrary Deprivation of Life and other Unlawful or Politically Motivated Killings”.

It says on October 31, Madhya Pradesh police “reportedly killed eight suspected members of the outlawed Students’ Islamic Movement of India”, after they allegedly murdered a prison guard and escaped from the high-security Central Jail of Bhopal. “On November 1, the NHRC issued a formal complaint against the state government, police, and prison authorities, expressing concern about deaths. The Madhya Pradesh police appointed a special investigation team to investigate the killings”, it says.

Under the same section it also talks about an alleged custodial death in the state. The report says “On April 9, 20-year-old Sunil Yadav was found dead in Umri police station in Madhya Pradesh, four days after his arrest on charges of theft. Madhya Pradesh police suspended four police personnel and ordered a judicial inquiry”.

The report talks about famous Vyapam scam under the section “Corruption and Lack of Transparency in Government”.

Why impose Hindi on India’s non-Hindi Populace

There is an ominous desperation in the speed and breadth of Hindi imposition under the Narendra Modi regime. It has led to growing unease among India’s non-Hindi populace. The presidential stamp of approval granted recently to a slew of Hindi imposition and promotion measures recommended by the Committee of Parliament on Official Language has created the climate for a political showdown in the incredibly diverse political entity called the Indian Union.

Hindi imposition by the Union government is as old as the Indian Union itself. In 1965, more than 200 Tamils were killed by primarily central forces when they protested forced Hindi imposition. Since then, Tamil Nadu has been portrayed as a lone thorn in the beautiful path of linguistic uniformity via Hindi. This formulation was convenient. By portraying Tamil Nadu as an outlier, it implied that the rest were on board. This lie has now been shredded.

Strong voices, both from the political field and the civil society, have arisen from many non-Hindi states, including non-Dravidian states. Bengali speaking MP Saugata Roy of the Trinamool Congress, Tamil speaking MK Stalin of the DMK, Kannada speaking HD Kumaraswamy of the Janata Dal (Secular), Telugu speaking Jayaprakash Narayan of the Lok Satta, and many more have spoken out against Hindi imposition in the last one week.

HC Tough on UP Slaughterhouse Crackdown

Private life of an individual is being severely affected due to a crackdown on slaughterhouses, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court observed today while hearing a petition filed by a meat shop owner seeking renewal of the license.

The court, accordingto the report by News 18 , has given Uttar Pradesh government 10 days to convene a meeting and decide on the issue so that the livelihood of individuals and their right to carry a trade and profession is not neglected in any way. The next hearing will be on April 13.

According to the petitioner, a goat meat seller, the Nagar Palika Parishad of Lakhimpur Kheri was not renewing his license that expired on March 31. This is directly affecting his ability to survive since he earns his living by selling goat meat.

Besides noting that the inaction of the state government affects livelihood of the meat shop owners and violate their right to trade and profession—fundamental rights guaranteed under Article 19 of the Constitution—the division bench of Justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi and Justice Sanjai Harkauli observed that the “inaction of the state government in the past should not be a shield for imposing a state of almost prohibition”.

Asserting that the Uttar Pradesh government cannot ignore legal slaughterhouses, it stated that providing an immediate check on unlawful activity “should be simultaneous with facilitating the carrying out of lawful activity”, particularly as that’s related to food and food habits, which is undisputedly connected with the right to life. The court also observed that “sudden closure of facilities of slaughtering has forced retail vendors to face the abrupt curtains drawn on their means of livelihood”.

The court also said that food habits, socio-economic status of the society, availability of foodstuff at affordable prices and the convenience of availability are “issues that need a deliberation before any overt or covert action is taken”.

According to media reports, about 2.5 million people are directly or indirectly employed in this Rs 26,000-crore industry of Uttar Pradesh. Out of the 72 government-approved slaughterhouses in the country, more than half of them are in Uttar Pradesh.

While government records suggest that Uttar Pradesh has more than 375 illegal slaughterhouses, the state pollution control board says there are 185 abattoirs in the state of which 140 were operating illegally. In the last few weeks, the government has sealed more than 20 illegal slaughterhouses and several meat shops in the state.

Syrian Army Seizes Control over Vast Tunnel Network of Terrorists in Eastern Damascus

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army troops stormed terrorists' positions and gained control over the entire tunnels connecting the Eastern countryside of Damascus to Eastern Ghouta.
The army soldiers continued to beat back terrorists from more positions in Eastern Damascus and imposed full control over vast areas of gardens spreading from al-Barzeh farms to al-Qaboun district and then to Western Harasta and Dhahiyah al-Assad regions.

Local sources confirmed that the army's advances in al-Qaboun have put an end to all terrorist activities via their main tunnels, adding that there are only a few number of tunnels left for the terrorists to transfer forces and dispatch equipment.

The sources added that the terrorist groups that are scared of the army's continued assault in al-Qaboun and face a shortage of food supplies in Eastern Ghouta have taken away all medical equipment and food stuff from Bazaars and stored them in warehouses in the towns of Arbin, Zmelka, Mesraba and Douma.

Also, the army soldiers stormed terrorists' defense lines in the Northeastern outskirts of Damascus on Monday and pushed militants back from more positions in a region between Al-Qaboun district and Barzeh farms.

A military source reported that the army men, who entered a region known as Imam Hossein grand mosque, discovered a vast network of tunnels that were connected to the depth of Eastern Ghouta, adding that one of the tunnels was connected to the town of Arbin.

The source further added that the army's advances in Imam Hossein grand mosque region enabled the pro-government forces to separate al-Qaboun district from Barzeh farms.

How Pragya Singh Thakur, Sunil Joshi And Swami Aseemanand Plotted The Samjhauta Express Blasts

On 24 April 2017, the Bombay High Court granted bail to Pragya Singh Thakur, a former national executive member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case. On 29 September 2008, two bombs concealed in a motorcycle had exploded in the Muslim-dominated town of Malegaon in Maharashtra. Four persons were killed in the blast and 79 others injured. The investigation into the blasts was initially conducted by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), which filed its chargesheet in January 2009. In it, the ATS named 14 persons, including Thakur. She was arrested in October 2008. The ATS alleged that Thakur was one of the masterminds behind the blast. It stated that she owned the bike associated with the blast, and had given it to a co-accused Ramchandra Kalsangra, who planted the bomb and placed it at the blast site. The evidence the ATS presented against Thakur included statements from witnesses and co-accused, which placed her at meetings planning the blasts before its execution.
In April 2011, the home ministry transferred the case to the National Investigation Agency. Five years later, in 2016, the NIA filed a supplementary chargesheet in which it called the ATS investigation “dubious” and dropped Thakur and five others from the list of accused persons, claiming that “sufficient evidence have not been found” against them. The NIA chargesheet stated the ATS had tortured a witness who made a statement indicting Thakur. Another witness, RP Singh, who had earlier told the ATS that he overheard Thakur showing her readiness to provide men to arrange the blast, retracted his statement. On these grounds, and arguing the bike used in the blast was not in her possession, the NIA issued a clean chit to Thakur. One month after the NIA’s supplementary chargesheet was filed, an NIA court rejected a bail application filed by Thakur, in June 2016, stating that prima facie charges were still made out against her. Thakur filed an appeal against the order dismissing bail before the Bombay High Court. While granting her bail, the court said: “It cannot be said that there are reasonable grounds for believing that accusation made against her are prima facie true.”

Social Terror: Dalit family Defies Upper-Caste Diktat

Like any other parent, 45-year-old Chander Meghwal of Mana village wanted to give the groom a grand reception at his daughter Mamta’s wedding on Sunday.

However, a band is de rigueur for a marriage ceremony in the Malwa hinterlands to be called grand. And therein lay the rub.

Chander is a Dalit, and the dominant upper caste community in the village has decreed that no family of “low social status” should have a band as part of their marriage procession. At best, they could have a dhol – a two-headed barrel-shaped drum – for musical accompaniment.

A few upper caste members even threatened Chander of dire consequences if he tried to become their equal by hiring a full-fledged band. But Mamta, a class 12 student, wouldn’t be cowed down. Reiterating their right to celebrate happy occasions in ways they deemed proper, she suggested that they approach the district administration for help.

Moshe Ya’alon Admits Tacit Israel-ISIS Alliance

American Herald Tribune– Israel’s former minister of military affairs Moshe Ya’alon has admitted to a tacit alliance with ISIS, saying the group had “immediately apologized” to Tel Aviv after firing “once” into Israel.

International media outlets have already reported extensively on Israeli commandos’ missions inside Syria to rescue wounded militants but a senior regime official’s acknowledgement of a link with ISIS is unprecedented.

Ya’alon’s explosive revelation came during an interview reported Saturday on Israeli Channel 10’s website, content portal Mako, which acts as a gateway to Israeli media outlets and websites.

Mako also incorporated footage of the event in the northern city of Afula, during which the former military affairs chief was seen describing an occasion in which Syria-based ISIS terrorists had fired into the Golan Heights.

Golan is a Syrian territory, which Tel Aviv has been occupying since 1967 and lays claim on it as its own property. Save some rare alleged rocket attacks from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, for which ISIS has reportedly claimed responsibility and have not resulted in any human injury or losses, the group has generally refused to target either Israel or the territories under its occupation.

No Regret Over Pehlu’s Death: Alwar BJP MLA

‘He was a cow smuggler... sinners like him will meet this fate’

BJP MLA Gyan Dev Ahuja on Monday said he had no regrets over the death of Pehlu Khan, a dairy farmer who was beaten to death allegedly by cow vigilantes in Alwar.

Speaking to reporters outside the Rajasthan Assembly, Alwar MLA Ahuja said,
“Kanoon humko haath mein nahi lena chahiye. Lekin uski maut hui. Uske liye humko koi afsosh nahi hai. Aur afsosh karoonga bhi nahi kyunki jo gau taskar hain, gau hatyare hain, aise paapiyon ka yehi harsh hota raha hai, hota rahega (We should not take law into our hands. But we have no regret over his death because those who are cow-smugglers are cow-killers, sinners like them have met this fate earlier and will continue to do so).”

Targeting the Congress for raising the issue of Khan’s death in the Assembly, Ahuja said, “Bilkul gau-taskar tha, uske hamare paas sabut hain, ab ye Congressi kyun chilla-pon kar rahe hain, itni tushtikaran ki neeti apna rahe hain, aur raag alaap rahe hain unhi logon ke liye jo desh ke ghaddar hain, ye Congressi desh ke ghaddaron ka puraskar dena chahte hain, aur desh bhakton ka tiraskar karna chahte hain, gau-taskaron ka gau-hatyaron ka samarthan kar rahe hain (Definitely he was a smuggler and we have proof of that. Why are these Congressmen crying foul, using their policy of appeasement and singing praises for the very people who are traitors of this country. They want to reward traitors and insult patriots, they are supporting cow-smugglers and killers).”

'Gau Rakshak' Attacks Since 2015 Dadri Lynching

Ever since the Narendra Modi government came to power in 2014, beef and cow protection have been one of the much debated topics across India. Cow vigilantism gained widespread media spotlight in September 2015 after a 60-year-old Mohammad Akhlaq was lynched in Uttar Pradesh's Dadri for allegedly possessing beef. However, forensic reports later revealed that he had in fact possessed mutton, not beef.
Cow vigilantism has been in the news lately after Yogi Adityanath took over as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. The blanket ban on slaughter across the state and the alleged forced closure of meat shops in the state highlight the growing vigilantism by "gau rakshaks".
Here are a few gau rakshak attacks across India since the 28 September, 2015 Dadri lynching:
Udhampur truck attack
On 9 October 2015, a truck was attacked by petrol bombs by alleged Hindu extremists after rumours of it carrying dead cows emerged. Zahid Ahmad, the truck driver succumbed to his injuries 10 days later, while another man suffered serious burn injuries.
As news of the death in Delhi spread, mobs took to the streets in the southern district of Anantnag in the Kashmir Valley and blocked the Jammu-Srinagar highway by burning tyres.
The highway is the only road link between the Kashmir Valley and the rest of India.
They also shouted slogans against the government, and pelted stones at security personnel who tried to disperse them.
According to NDTV, the forensic report later concluded that the cows died due to food poisoning and had not been slaughtered.
Seven people were arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police for the murder of Zahid.

Six Jews, Including Two Soldiers, Arrested for anti-Arab Attacks.

Suspects were said to have attacked victims with knives, clubs, metal bars and other weapons beginning in 2016

Six Jewish residents of Be'er Sheva, including two conscripted soldiers and a minor, were charged with a series of racist attacks against Arabs in the city, police said Sunday.
The suspects were said to have attacked their victims with knives, clubs, metal bars and other weapons beginning in December, 2016.
The suspects were allegedly involved in at least five incidents of assault since then.
According to police, the investigation revealed that the attacks aimed "to prevent the assimilation of Jews and Arabs in Be'er Sheva," and that some of them watched video material from the right-wing group Lehava that focused on "saving Jewish women who are married to Arabs," and called themselves "supporters of the organization," but weren't active members.
Indictments were to be served against the suspects in a Be'er Sheva District court on Sunday. The indictments were to include charges of "terrorist actions."

Bajrang Dal Men Attack Agra Police Station

Assistant Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said “the protesters were Bajrang Dal workers”.

A police official was attacked in Agra on Saturday and his vehicle set ablaze by a mob that attempted to rescue five men believed to be associated with the Bajrang Dal detained at the Sadar Bazaar Police Station.
The Assistant Superintendent of Police, Agra City, Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan, said the incident took place after BJP Fatehpur Sikri MLA Udaybhan Singh, who was among the protesters, left the spot.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said “the protesters were Bajrang Dal workers”.
The five men had been detained in the morning after Bajrang Dal workers gheraoed the Fatehpur Sekri police station demanding that an FIR registered against nine Hindu men for allegedly beating up people of a minority community be expunged.
The protesters also demanded that a case be registered against people of the minority community.
During the protest, the agitators reportedly misbehaved with a senior police officer, following which police used mild force to disperse the crowd. Five persons were later caught and detained at the police station. They were later sent to Sadar Bazaar Police Station.

On Saturday evening, as Sub-Inspector Santosh Kumar attached with the Sahganj Police Station was returning home, a group of men protesting agaisnt the arrests attacked him. A police officer said the protesters also attempted to break the lock-up at the Sadar Bazaar Police Station.

Jammu Nomad Family Attacked by VHP

The Bakerwals travel from the plains to higher reaches in J&K with their animals at the onset of summer every year, doing the reverse journey in winter.

AN eight-year-old girl and two women were among five nomadic Bakerwals injured when alleged Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists attacked them on Thursday evening, when they along with their cattle herd were moving from the plains of Reasi to highland pastures in Kishtwar district.
Two of the victims suffered fractures.
Identifying the victims as Nazakat Ali, 45, his wife Naseema, 40, his uncle Sabar Ali, 60, besides relatives Abida Bibi, 22, and Saina, 8, Superintendent of Police, Reasi district,
Tahir Bhat said an open FIR had been registered and police had identified some of the accused.
An FIR under Section 188 of the Ranbir Penal Code and Section 3 of the Prevention of Cruelty towards Animals has also been registered against four of the injured for failing to produce “the district magistrate’s permission required for transporting the animals”.
However, as the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Babu Ram, confirmed to The Sunday Express that nomadic families such as Bakerwals in J&K do not require any such permission if they are moving with their cattle on foot, like they do.
A permit is required from the district magistrate to transport bovine animals only if one is moving them in a vehicle, Ram said.
For transporting animals on foot, only a Forest Department’s ‘motto (permission)’ is needed, which these families had, the officer said.

Three Men Thrashed for Transporting Buffaloes

People For Animals (PFA) activists claimed that they followed a truck from Haryana after they receiving information that the men were transporting animals for slaughter.

Three men were allegedly beaten up in South Delhi by activists from a prominent animal welfare group. The three victims have been identified by the police as Rizwan, Kamil and Ashu. They were taken to the AIIMS Trauma Center. The truck was transporting about half a dozen buffaloes. On Saturday night, activists belonging to the People For Animals (PFA) group claimed that they followed a truck from Haryana after they receiving information that the men were transporting animals for slaughter.
A police team arrived at the spot after being tipped off by the PFA activists, DCP Ramil Baniya told news Channel NDTV. Delhi Police registered two FIRs in connection with the incident; one on animal cruelty and the other for the attack, the channel reported.
Union Minister Maneka Gandhi’s office, however, issued a statement saying that PFA activists were not involved in last night’s attack. Gandhi is the chairperson of the trust managing PFA.

‘Nationalism and Hinduism'

With the spotlight now on the practice of triple talaq in the Muslim community, Khan spoke about how his personal experience had shaped his view on the matter.

From triple talaq to Islamophobia, from the “insecurity” that he sees in the “amplification of the azaan” to the now factious subject of nationalism and minorities, there was no subject that actor Saif Ali Khan shied away from during an interview, a day after he was the guest at Express Adda in Mumbai (full transcript to be published this week).
“Nationalism is amazing and important for development, but is that the same as Hinduism? I don’t think so. In a country that has been secular, there are minorities, it will make them uncomfortable. This doesn’t apply to me because my world is more privileged, insular,” he said, adding, “So I don’t mind living in a Hindu State either, just make the law same for everyone.”
With the spotlight now on the practice of triple talaq in the Muslim community, Khan spoke about how his personal experience had shaped his view on the matter. “I’ve had a nikaah before and a divorce. But I didn’t think that triple talaq was the way. I had financial responsibilities towards my ex-wife and children. So I don’t agree with triple talaq because I haven’t followed it. And the Indian Constitution addresses this with the Special Marriage Act. Kareena (Kapoor) and I got married under the Act,” he said.
